The Chicago Tribune ran a story recently about a local ophthalmologist who has been banned from performing lasik eye surgery. According to the story, Dr. Nicholas Caro has been sued for malpractice over forty times since the Nineties.

In addition to being barred from performing lasik eye surgeries, the doctor has had his medical license suspended for thirty days, he has been placed on probation for a minimum of three years and he has been fined $10,000.
